A Note of Gratitude

As Election Day draws near, I want to close my campaign with a note of gratitude. I’m grateful for you and the many other supporters and volunteers who so generously gave of your time and resources to make this such a strong campaign. Together, we knocked on almost 13,000 doors across Tucson to introduce the message that local climate action can make a difference. Together, we called or texted more than 100,000 voters to make sure their voices were heard in this election. Together, we changed the conversation.

I am especially grateful to my first and best volunteer, my wife and friend, Bam Miller. Bam had a long and rich career as a special education teacher in TUSD, serving the children of our community. One year she served as her school’s strike captain when teachers successfully negotiated for better work conditions, including small classroom numbers.

Bam has worked tirelessly for years as a leader in our Neighborhood Association, helping organize potlucks, clean-ups, and neighborhood improvement grants. And together we raised our son Brian to be a wonderful young man.

Bam has been a crucial part of my campaign, calmly dealing with the endless tasks that were required, and always behind the scenes. Without her support, I could not have begun this journey. Thank you, Bam.

And thank you for your support and encouragement. I look forward to representing you on the Tucson City Council.

If you still want to help, we have one final volunteer opportunity. Join us for our special Spooktacular Halloween phone bank this Saturday, 10/30, from 10 am to noon at 2802 E. Presidio Rd. Candy will be provided and costumes are encouraged!

Lastly, please celebrate with us on Election Night! We’ll be at MotoSonora Brewing (1015 S Park Ave) on Tuesday, November 2, from 7 to 9 pm. Election results should be announced at around 8 pm and we would love to see you there!
