Environmental Champions Support Kevin Dahl on Earth Day

In recognition of the 51st Earth Day, the Kevin Dahl for City Council campaign released a list of over 50 local “environmental champions” who support me in running for the Ward 3 Tucson City Council. This is an amazing bunch of people who have worked hard to make southern Arizona a better place for us all. I am honored and humbled. See the list here.

Fifty-one years ago, I started a recycling program because I was inspired to do my part to protect the planet. Today I’m running for the City Council for the same reason, but with a lot more urgency. We are in a climate emergency and we need to treat it as such. We need aggressive adaptation and mitigation plans to deal with the disproportionate impact that it will have on marginalized communities.
