Organized Power

Congressman Raul Grijalva taught me one of the most important things I’ve learned about campaigning for political office. Canvassing - walking, knocking, and talking to people - is more than just asking people to vote for you. It’s bringing people together, breaking bread (or maybe a bagel or burrito) and working together to affect change. That’s what organized people look like. Like what a handful of teenagers did to create the Tucson Youth Climate Strike rally, shown in this photo.

If we want to prepare this city so it can survive and thrive in a hotter, drier future, we need to change the city’s practices and policies now. And that means bringing people together to change the conversation.

I’ve been doing some organizing around climate change and the Tucson City Council election- and I need your help! There are six weeks left before ballots go out. Please join me and my team for a Saturday morning canvass- coffee and bagels provided!

Join us this Saturday, 8/28, at 9 a.m. for canvassing! We'll meet at 1609 E. Spring St. where you can pick up materials. Want to canvass, but can't make it Saturday? Email me (Info@KevinDahl4Tucson.com) and we'll coordinate another time for you to pick up a list.
